Cell Phone Tapping Software

You might wonder what cell phone tapping software is and whether it is dangerous or risky. Yes, when your cell phone is tapped, the person who had done that would be able to monitor your calls and even listen to your cell phone. If your cell phone had been tapped, generally you would hear background noises like echoes, static, or clicking. Similarly, if you are not making a call or if you are doing some other function and the backlight of the cell phone comes on, it would be an indication that an outsider is tapping your cell phone.

Cell phone tapping software have proliferated of late over the Internet and free downloads of such software are also offered. Such software could be used for genuine purposes like monitoring the activities of your children or other persons in your family. On the other hand, unscrupulous persons could use such software to monitor your activities and use it to blackmail you or provide your business information to your competitors. Hence, you should constantly watch out against outside tapping of your cell phone.

Sometimes, government agencies could ask your mobile phone operator to tap your cell phone. They could also install cell phone tapping software on to any cell phone handset without the owner of the cell phone becoming aware of such tapping. The cell phone could be activated even when the owner of the phone is not making a call. Then the government agency that had done the tapping could use the cell phone as a bugging device to listen to your conversations by remotely activating the microphone.

When you doubt that your cell phone had been tapped with a cell phone tapping software, the best possible course is to take your cell phone to your mobile service provider. The provider would fully sweep your cell phone to remove the tapping software. If it is somehow not possible, the provider might offer you a new handset that is free of tapping software or hardware.
